Returning an Item

While we endeavour to satisfy all purchases correctly and efficiently, there may be reason to return a product, such as being an unwanted gift or incorrect item. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by mistakes on our part, however rest assured our 28-day returns guarantee means that if for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, you can contact us to cancel the order and return it to us in its original condition within 28 days of the date you received the item. Upon return delivery we will issue a full refund for the price you paid for the item. This returns policy does not affect your statutory rights. reserves the right to charge the price of the replacement item to the payment card used for the original order if you do not return the original item to us within 28 days of the date on which confirms we will issue a replacement.

To ensure the safe return of your items and the correct allocation of the items to your order when we receive them, please follow the guidelines below;

1. Please include a copy of the original receipt, purchase order confirmation email or a piece of paper with the name of the person who ordered the items, the order number and the reason for the return.

2. Please use and re-seal the outer cardboard box and return the product with all the manufacturer's original packaging.

When you send your item back to us within 28 days, we will process the returned item then notify you via e-mail of your refund. You can expect a refund in the same form of payment originally used for purchase within two weeks of our receiving your return.

You can view completed returns and refunds of an order's summary page under your Account Maintenance page. If the return and refund do not appear in Your Account after four weeks from the day you sent us your return, please contact us for further assistance.

Refunds of Postage Costs

If you are returning an item within 28 days because of an error on our part or, in accordance with our returns policy, because it is damaged, we will refund the cost of the recorded delivery return postage. will check all items returned as damaged. In the event we find no fault, we reserve the right to re-charge you for the item/s and to recover our fees and expenses from you.

Returns During the 7 day Cooling Off Period

According to EU law, customers located in the European Union have the right to withdraw from the purchase of an item within seven working days of the day after the date the item is delivered. Where you are withdrawing from your purchase within the seven working day cooling-off period, and there has been no error on our part, we will refund the cost of the item, however we will not refund the return postage.

Extended Returns Policy after the 7 day Cooling Off Period

Where you are withdrawing from your purchase between seven and 14 days after delivery, and there has been no error on our part, we will refund only the cost of the item. We will not refund the cost return postage or for any other services provided to you in connection with your purchase.

Extended Christmas Season Returns Policy

We extended our returns period for the Christmas season every year. Items purchased from Thorn Jewellery and dispatched during the period from 1st December to 24th December inclusive may be returned in the new year under the terms outlined above at any time before midnight on 21st January. Our returns policy reverts to the standard 28 days for items purchased after 24th December.
